Dee Dee and Snickers

Dee Dee is the daughter of our very own Deer! When I found out that Deer had produced a beautiful girl with the same gorgeous fawn-brown coloring, I made sure that I was the first to claim Dee Dee once she needed a new home! Born December 31st, 2019, Dee Dee is Finnsheep, Suffolk, Dorper, Merino, and Rambouillet (giving her an incredible fleece!), and is just as sweet and gentle as Deer - she took a bit longer to get comfortable with scritches and pets, but now that she is, she demands them by smacking me in the leg with a hoof! She also enjoys treats like everyone else around here, and she is just such a delight! We're so happy to have her!

Snickers came to us with Dee Dee and wow, what a character she is! When we first met Snickers, her owner put a pair of sunglasses on her, just to show how "chill" she is - Snickers wore the sunglasses and posed for pictures until Tina took the glasses off of her! What a hoot she is! Born February 4, 2015, Snickers is Finnsheep, Suffolk, and Dorper, and her fleece is a stunning charcoal gray! But what makes Snickers truly special is her NEED for love - all the love - all the pets, scritches, hugs, and kisses that we'll give her. And her voice - she has a unique, gravelly, dinosaur yell that makes it easy to tell who's shouting at us! She is a delight!

The summer of 2022 was a big milestone for Blaine Fleece and Fiber - this was when we brought Dee Dee and Snickers home as our final two sheep, making a total of 17 in the Fellowsheep of the Fleece! As both my husband and I are getting up in years, I made the decision to stick with what I have and to be grateful for the 22 sheep I've had the great fortune to love and care for over the years. These woolly despots will live out their lives in peace and happiness with us, getting all the care and love they need (and, of course, cookies!).
