Deer is a lovely ewe who came to our flock in 2020. She is 3/4 Finnsheep and 1/4 Suffolk, and that combination is absolutely astonishing! It has a bit of the Suffolk Sproing, as I like to call it (see Cupcake's roving for lots of sproing!), but is much softer due to the Finnsheep genetics - and in the most luscious brown you've ever seen! In addition, Deer puts extra love into everything she does - she is the most cuddly sheep we've ever had, and I just know that all of her love and sweetness goes into her wool as well! Anything you make from her will be simply gorgeous! Perfect for spinning, dyeing, needle-felting...anything!

Please remember that you are buying farm-fresh roving! My fleeces are processed by an amazing small-batch mill that spends a great deal of time skirting and picking the fleeces - however, it is impossible for them to remove all of the VM (vegetable matter). The roving is amazingly soft and clean, and the VM comes out easily. Thank you for understanding that what you are seeing is evidence of the good food our sheep enjoy!

Hand wash gently in cold water - lay flat to dry.
